Legal Education and Engagement Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company of Kentucky (“LMICK”) is seeking to hire a full-time Legal Education and Engagement Manager. The ideal candidate will thrive in an externally focused position engaging with current and potential insureds via a multi-faceted approach including but not limited to oral and written communications and presentations, in-person engagement(s), and via social media. In this role, the Legal Education and Engagement Manager will lead in the creation, drafting and presentation of continuing legal education materials and programs. Further, the Legal Education and Engagement Manager will assist LMICK in its efforts to provide risk management and mitigation resources to current and potential insureds; to recruit new insureds, to preserve and augment its position and reputation as the Kentucky Bar Association endorsed legal malpractice insurance carrier; and to provide exemplary service to its insureds.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school required and in good standing with Kentucky Bar Association.
- Active Kentucky property and casualty agent license or willingness to obtain.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent research skills, written and oral communications and presentation skills along with at least 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft365 suite of products.
- Significant experience with Canva or other presentation creation software preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel across Commonwealth to present CLEs, exhibit at various events, engage with existing insureds and cultivate new insureds, including some overnight travel as required (approximately 40% of working hours involves travel).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $90k - $100k anticipated annual salary plus fringe benefits.
- Modest bonus opportunities available based on both individual and company performance.
