IRS Standards for Lawyers Advising on Tax Shelters Clarified

The IRS issued final regulations in T.D. 9201 on May 18, 2005 that revise and clarify IRS Circular 230 standards for lawyers providing advice on tax shelters practicing before the IRS. This is a must read for all tax practitioners. The revised Circular 230 is available on the Internet at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-regs/td9201.pdf.
